About

Megan Siu Lau 劉紹怡 is a first generation Chinese-American originally born and raised in the Bay Area. Their parents immigrated from Hong Kong to the US in the 70s/80s.

They are a cinnamontographer, producer, designer, pootographer, and community architect (in training) fascinated with human interaction. Megan believes that every story is worth sharing so we can build an ideal world rooted in understanding. They aim to uplift voices of the underrepresented through creating environments that welcome and accept individuals as a whole. Megan’s work has screened at renowned film festivals in the United States and Canada. Their next project will be a documentary series focused on the relation and significance of place and value to any and all individuals.

Megan also volunteers their time and skills towards various community organizations. One day, Megan hopes to become an Asian grandma and go shopping for groceries in a puffy vest and cart full of various vegetables on a Sunday morning.

Megan is currently attending University of California, Berkeley as a candidate for the Masters of Architecture program. Megan previously graduated from Loyola Marymount University majoring in Film & TV Production with a minor in Business Administration.
